Fostering
a mission
to develop, implement and evaluate programs that enhance positive social, academic and
physical development into the lives of today’s youth, the Foundation’s annual summer
program, Camp in the Bay, hosted by NFL players and peers of Hannibal Navies,
has provided over
700 student-athletes in the Oakland/Berkeley area with introductory and
fundamental athletic skills that are needed to compete on a collegiate level
as well as post secondary life-skills that encourages them to persevere through beyond obstacles
to reach their dreams and aids in developing them into prepared, caring,
responsible adults.

Camp Highlights:
- Speed, strength and agility drills
- Combine testing
- Individual position sessions with the Pros
- Autograph session
- Lunch and camp t-shirt
- Special emphasis on teamwork, nutrition and
exercise, education, and conflict resolution
The first half of the
one-day camp introduces participants to the key components of proper 40 yard
dash, vertical, and shuttle drills. During the second half of the day, high
school coaches and NFL players will lead specific position sessions. Camp
concludes with 7-on-7 and 1-on-1 periods that give participants the opportunity
to showcase their skills. Each of the drills and sessions is intended to serve
as an early introduction to college combine segments and help familiarize
participants with what is expected in a real application.
